One. Range

HDXM-21 Asphalt Mixture Maximum Theory Density Measuring Instrument is applicable for determining the asphalt mixture maximum theory density with vaccum method for application, such as asphalt mixture mixing proportion design, road condition investigation, calculate the porosity and compactness in the road construction quality management, and so on.

This instrument is not applicable for asphalt mixture like porous aggregate with water absorption higher than 3%.

 

Two. Test method

According to road engineering asphalt and asphalt mixture test rule T0711-1993.

Three. Operating instruction
The instrument is designed with two functions for all kinds of test according the rule, automatic test and separated manual control. The instrument can detect several parallel-sample at the same time.
 

1. Connect to the power (220V 50Hz), press down the power switch, the window will display "0" ready for test.
2. Put the negative pressure containers (material cylinder for following) on to the vibrating table together with the water and specimen. Cover them and push the blowoff value to the "off" position.
3. The instrument starts working after pressing the "automatic" button. The instrument will exhaust the air until the vacuum degree 97.3Kpa and keep the vacuum state according to pre-setting program. The process will take about 20 minutes, and then the vibrating table will vibrate some time every 2 minutes. It will stop automatically after 60 minutes 60 seconds for the automatic program.
4. The operator can press "stop" button and pull out the blowoff value when he thinks the rest reaches the request. Insert the cover into the handle at both sides, take off the material cylinder and cut off the power.
5. The operator can make the instrument keep on working by manual control function of there is smell left in the specimen after the test. Press "exhaust" button first and then "vibrate" button, the instrument will exhaust while vibrate the material cylinder. The operator can stop the instrument by pressing "stop" button. Repeat the above operation until it reaches the request. Press "stop" to stop working.
