"SBX-82 Thin Film Oven Test, TFOT" is used for determining the influence of heat and air to stiff bitumen.
"SBX-82 Thin Film Oven Test, TFOT" is is used at the arbitrary chosen working temperature in the range of 50-200º C. After choosing, automatic control system in the box does the materialization determination of stiff bitumen under the constant temperature condition.
(1) General arrangement
The out body is composed by thin steel plates. The upper half part is the fully stainless steel working room with double door. The lower half part are the electric control part and machine speed-down driven setting.
The door of working room is double type, the thickness of inner one is 30mm, the outer is 50mm. There is a glass observing window between them. There is a light in the room to help to see the thermometer inserting from the top from outside conveniently when determining.
Heating setting is fixed on the bottom of the working room, heating with the way of air naturally convection. It heats the working room uniformly by the up, down and back fan duct.
(4) Heat preservation and heat control
Heating preservation layer and fan duct are between the working room and the box shell. The heating preservation layer is filled with Fiberglas to prevent the temperature of working room conducting to outside as it may influence the constant temperature and the sensitivity of the constant temperature.
(5) Working room
There is a turnplate which can contain four bitumen sample utensils in the centre of the working room. It is driven by the motor. It also can be used as the common constant temperature chest by taking away the turnplate.
